Forest Phosphorescence

Forest Phosphorescence is an illustrated narrative about a firefly who realizes she can glow. Along with this allegorical tale are questions we pose while searching for belonging in our environment and communities: What does it mean to be brave? How does it feel to belong? How can we help each other?

The process of bioluminescence and synchro-nization with others help the firefly to make amazing discoveries in the forest.

Letterpress printed on handmade paper made from recycled clothing. Handbound in the Coptic stitch: some with hardcovers and others with oak wooden covers. 2015
